I'm 70, in New Guinea 🇵🇬 I've seen locals catch prime fish using local leaves as lures, top is green, under side whitish! You can make from alfoil put red paint line on (nail varnish), it's great feeling getting quality fish 🐟 on one you made, cheers 🍻 from Australia ❤ 😊

Try this challenge, a friend and I only took our rods, jig heads etc and made lures from whatever we found at the spot. Surprisingly we caught a few on assorted junk left behind. Love the challenge vids.

The best flatty lure ive ever used was a two dollar cheapie from Kmart.
I went back and bought a heap of em. That was twenty years ago, I've got two left.
I also still have the cheap Jarvis Walker rod from there. I use it more than my expensive ones😅

Hey shroom when you get a hit and loose the fish I recommend you leave your lure on the bottom for 5-10 seconds just so the fish can eat again and you can catch it hope this helps.

Kmart used to have a huge range of fishing gear with 3-4 aisles from the 70s -90s & all big brands too l got nearly all my gear there....Mustard hooks, Shimano rods, Nilsmaster lures it was the best.

As an Aussie that’s not really around to many other cultures, this guy’s accent to me is crazy, it’s a cross between Aussie, Arab and Asian. It’s like he’s taken on a little bit of accent from all the different people he’s grown up with, it makes me laugh a bit.

My favourite rod is a cheap rod I bought from Kmart for my daughter. Cheap AF. Works like a charm.
