To be completely honest, Poseidon's punishment is less terrible than a plague. A plague is an agonizing and slow decay to thousands while an earthquake is quick ending. I'd sooner die by landslide than die by something like the Black Death

Chronos was an awful father and Prometheus's mind is clouded by his thirst for vengeance but it can be difficult to see them as villains when hearing those two plotting the punishment of humans.
