Just get physical back instead of complaining. Coach would always tell me if the ref is allowing them to play physical defense on you, then they’ll also allow you to play physical offense. I wouldn’t just swipe that arm away I’d literally close my first and throw it and my forearm into their ribs or chest as I drive similar to like an mma fighter throw a spinning back fist. Do this on a skilled defender that isn’t relying on hand checking and you are getting an offensive foul everytime. Especially if the defender is good at over exaggerating contact .

Shoulder bump to the chest in that direction to avoid the Offensive foul. I'm getting to the spot not battling. A proper bump will cause a fall to an unbalanced defender, do not exaggerate it, from a ref's POV it's a 50/50 call.

If they call foul, POLITELY, explain what you are doing, be consistent so it's not misunderstood the rest of the game.
