This is a great tip. Another that I like to do is put it in different chords mode and then use the ARP function to have it play out the single notes in time, then rearrange or stack accordingly. Basically the same thing but just spaces the notes out a little which helps me hear what a single note sounds like so that when I want to bring in a bass or accentuating instrument, I know where my safe notes are that I can add later without wondering if it’s going to clash with what I have.
