Palworld - Perfect Storm of Success - The Review

Palworld has taken the gaming world by storm with controversy and accusations of plagiarism. However, matching the intensity of that discourse, is the success of its decision making and the enjoyment found by its millions of players.

Palworld is an undeniable success, for good reason. From combat, to crafting, and a dramatically large open world... the game is well positioned for the future, and well deserving of its success when considered from a raw gameplay perspective.

As a fan of the monster catching genre, , the thing that sticks out most to me is the interactions with the Pals. They way they inhabit and organically fight each other in the open world and the way they interact with the player character is just wonderful. Where Pokemon fails, Palworld excells.

One of the most underrated and subtle yet to me is very important part of palworld is the animation when the pal are working in your base, or when they sleep, when they are relaxing in hot spring or even when you pet them. While its not every pal but a lot of them have their own animation that suit their model, their gimmick, their lore etc. It really helps with the immersion of every pal being an unique being.

Some of my favorite games are Armored Core, Ace Combat, and DMC. I WANT people to make more clones of those so I can enjoy them.

I am obsessed with this game because of the style, all the options you have, and the adorable pals. I hate buying into anything with hype but myself, my hubby, and kids all play. There are some bugs and weird things but easy to look past.

for one point not mentioned in the video, is that this game supports multiplayer. Which does a multiplication to all the fun in the game. For the raid part, I rather they improve it not remove it. And as there are many defense types of building and walls, it has huge potential to be the best multiplayer tower defense game in these year. If you trigger the crime by hitting villager in the game, huge waves of enemies will spawn near your base and you can get a lot of spheres and resources, which is super fun.

Fair points. For anyone wanting to leave raids on but still have a safe base, there is a plateau to the north western island already visible from the start. Just get killed and respawn there. Iron ore is there too. Early game is a lot more comfortable with one or more vixy on the open farm, since they produce standart spheres, arrows and gold.

Palworld did what all the endless Silent Hills PT clones from Bloober Team could not do. Actually being fun and having a soul.

The controversies are only on Twatter. If there was an actual problem, Nintendo would've already had Palworld obliterated off the face of the multiverse. If they hadn't yet, means there's probably nothing there.
