Best orignal rasam recipe ever. olden days this is how food was cooked n secret is using hands (that's why v wash hands n cook can't show every detail in video), n garlic with skin is so aromatic for all tadka. Hand mashed r more tasty than Chopped tomatoes. Appreciate he's learnt cooking frm previous generation.

I am not an Indian or of Indian descent but I love this recipe. It is light but yet full of flavour...if that makes sense. On my trip to India last year, I found out that there were more than a hundred types of rasem as each state would have its own signature rasem and each household would have its own recipe. Pepper rasem, lemon rasem, tomato rasem, you name it. Anyway, here is the list of ingredients used in this video for the benefit of others.
