Giving a command to the infantry without being their chain of command is basically just challenging them to do the opposite.

“WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO, ARREST ME?!” I love this man

I remember being in a division run, and families came out and tossed us monsters and beer. One of my most memorable days in the 82nd

“I love the infantry because they are the underdogs. They are the mud-rain-frost-and-wind boys. They have no comforts, and they even learn to live without the necessities. And in the end they are the guys that wars can’t be won without.”
— Ernie Pyle

Get some grunts!

These are the sane grunts. You don’t want to be an MP crossing paths with the Insane one’s.

Had a soldier find out his wife at the time was cheating on him. Found out he was coming to PT high from cocaine and drunk. His eyes were bloodshot but he could function for some reason. He was later kicked out the army. He was one of the best soldiers until shit happened to him. PT stud, multiple awards, and always helping out different sections.

I swear the sentiment of we will trust you with millions of dollars worth of equipment but at the same time we don’t trust you with a hot plate is honestly hilarious.

Friday safety brief on Ft. Hood...
"You clowns need to stop beating the shit out of the MPs when they walk through the barracks..
Their CO called the BN CO and SGM to complain he can't get his MPs to go to the barracks anymore"

True story💯😆😆😆

During my time at Ft. Benning, the General had mandatory 5 mile runs on Fridays. For some reason we were doing shots on Thursday night. Which became Friday morning. We had the genius idea to add bowties to the PT uniform. Oh, "we" were all 2nd Lts. in basic course. We used the alert roster and notified the entire class of the uniform change. We went straight from drinking to formation. Stumblingly drunk with bowties, singing jodies, not getting either out of formation nor step, we not only completed the 5 miles but the commanding General joined us with a bowtie.
The NCO trainers were laughing their a$$es off. They took pride in training us well.

When I (an MP) was in Air Assault School, we did our 4 mile formation run, and just so happened to pass my Battalion, which was doing a 4 mile charity formation run on the same route, and the NCO we had calling cadence at the time was an old Infantry guy. Never switched from the cadence we were singing to shit-talking MPs so fast.

Only fort Bragg would make their MPs enforce that bullshit

I was in the navy. Chances are, the people who would try to inforce this....were drunk. 😆
