Damage free perming!!!! Fact or fiction!!?- perms 101 extra

Here's and extra video from my perms 101 series. Is it possible to perm your hair without damage!? Well this is unfortunately a fairytale... any product that is a true perm has to open up the hair cuticle using, ammonia or another alkalizer ingredient, and heat with the acid perms. The next ingredient the reducing agent enters the hair and starts breaking down the bonds. This is usually done with thio better known as ammoniumthioglycolate since thio alone cannot open the hair, it needs the ammonia. There are thio free perms that claim to be damage free, but this is not always the case. Thio free perms can be every bit as damaging as regular perms especially when done by a non professional. They do tent to have less of an odor and the results of the perm look much nicer than the horrible frizzy ones.

Very informative..i had aperm 3 months back and my hairs had gotten volume initially but in long run i have immense hairfall making my beard other alternatives are aside perming....or any safe perm you could reccomend
