With every previous shot of her looking like it's about to show the suicide prevention hotline's number at the bottom of the screen.
And this is the emotional center of the movie, her love for this village and desire to preserve this "happiness." God, what a mess.

This was originally written as a treatment for a possible Star Wars movie. When it was rejected he slapped a skin on it and wrote the script without really removing any of the Star Wars-iness.

What was infuriating, was the fact that home-girl sets out to find this great Titus guy…then finds all these other people on the way, who each get a scene to show how awesome they are…then she finally gets to Titus…who is freakin Djimon Honshu, and his character turns out to be a washed up drunkard covered in mud, who gets nothing to show what makes him special, despite being the whole reason for her initial quest….ARGH!

The movie should have focused on the robot. Looks like his story was much more interesting than the generic checklist we got.
