First step: while you have internet, tell epic games you don’t have internet. Epic games is so stupid.

On Epic you have to move game files manually and enable offline mode manually WHILE YOU ARE ONLINE, which makes no sense. Epic store is basically pretty developer-friendly but super anti-consumer. Nah, as long as games aren't ridiculously more expensive on steam, I'll always choose Steam over Epic.

To those thats wondering, yes it works, its crucial you have set tick offline mode active. All you need to the next time you’re offline and wants to play, make sure you key in the email which you login and then only click enter in offline mode, if you leave email blank, it will show connection required

2024, and yet, you can't play offline mode in some games like Farming simulator. that's why i sometimes like cracked games. They push as to them.

Epic lanches offline. GTA starts and in initial stage it says internet required to check update or something or else game will exit. No option to play offline story mode.
