This is for sure an old video, but it does not matter, it got everything to work for me, because as you said, even here in 2022, on the cusp of 2023, the Epic Launcher is TRASH. Thank you ever so much for this workaround, you are a gentleman and a scholar!

I really can't thank you enough for giving such a tutorial! All i knew is that i would always be struggling with the epic games launcher, and really having a hard time trying to verify game installs (since it had no option for it), but with this, not only i can play games from epic games in windows, but also in linux! thanks a lot! i believe in your work and how it helps a lot of new linux users!~

For those of you who like me had no clue how to get it to run. I will put the steps I found.
1. Go to Local Disk (C:) and then click users and then click the name you use mine is kylec and put the legendary.exe inside there.
2. open command prompt and then follow the steps from the video where he types legendary auth

This is super helpful because you don't even need to install epic! You don't even need to know how to use most commands in a windows/linux command line. (But of course, for quality-of-life purposes, knowing how to make a simple batch file is very helpful for quick startup.)

For some less tech savvy out there, you can use GOG Galaxy 2.0 to launch 'em all regardless of platform. It's not perfect, but, better one launcher than 7 (and counting...).
