I bought a 2019 kia niro and I FLIPPING LOVE IT. I had an 04 prius before and it waa a great car. My niro has been averaging about 55 mpgs. Im suprised its not on this list.

Just used autotrader and honest John real mpg to discover that a new Yaris icon petrol automatic costs £2400 less than the same model in hybrid. Don’t worry though you will get all of your money back in fuel savings when you have done 1008000 miles. Yes over 1 million! This is despite the petrol car achieving 0- 60 in 1second less than the hybrid. So similar performance. I’ll stick with petrol until they get the price down.

Just recently got a Corrola hybrid after having a Auris hybrid for 3 years absolutely love it average 60-70 mpg which is as good as most diesels which i drove for 15 years
And no worries about looking for somewhere to plug in and wondering if the app will work

Very difficult to compare such a diverse range of pricing and functionality (e.g., sporty vs family cars) in a meaningful and useful way. I’m a CHR Sol owner and would put it miles ahead of the Corolla in terms of style. The "noise" mentioned in the review is only rarely heard - it’s generally is very quiet car and a joy to drive.

Lexus seems to be doing everything in their power to make the CT200h fail. It could REALLY use an updated drive train with more power. They should really pull one from the new UX or Corolla.

I can't believe the Ford Fusion Hybrid didn't make it! It's only about 37-42 mpg overall (normal vs. Eco modes), but it drives really well in normal mode, has a spacious interior and very comfortable seating.

I drive a Toyota Yaris hybrid which is also my first car and find it good, really easy to drive and very quiet. All the taxis seem to have the plug in prius

A Hybrid car is essentially like buying two cars. In some countries governments subsidise these "double" cars. In the future only the rich will own a car.

So, the CHR is disappointing because of its CVT transmission, but the Corolla, also using the CVT is the best car you can get? How does that make sense?
