Hmm... "To right the wrongs..."
My bet it's none other than Scott Bakula: "Theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, Captain Jonathan Archer stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished... He woke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is T'Pol, an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Jonathan can see and hear. And so Captain Archer finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home..."

You do remember that the destruction of Vulcan wasn't what changed the timeline. It was the destruction of the USS Kelvin. Hence the name of the timeline.

"Captain, you are needed on the Bridge"
"What is it?"
me: "It's a big room at the top of the ship with lots of consoles and a fancy chair"

This makes way too much sense and too plausible; so I’m going to say this isn’t what Kurtzman thinking.

Uhhhh.... Nero wasn't trying to save Romulus by destroying vulcan. He was trying to make spock suffer for failing to save Romulus. As he says "it did happen, It will happen I saw it happen"

To be fair we also didn’t know Spock had a half-brother until ST:V. I still love this theory though!

I genuinely think time travel is a terrible idea, which may improve the situation, but I'm reasonably certain Kurtzman will not/ cannot bring us to canon trek... more importantly, Kurtzman's vision of Star Trek comes with dollar signs, not humanism.... Something I can never forgive.

The issue with this idea starts at the beginning itself.

I don't believe season one show runners where ever truly in charge (I saw patsies to take the fall when fans again rebelled against JJ trek); whether it be Paul Fieg lvl inexperience, or simply Kurtzman stacking of the deck for Bad Robot validations as the only trek, it doesn't matter. We're here regardless....

No, what matters is Kurtzman says things like he doesn't have to be canon, because he thinks the novels are canon....

Novels....

From the same clique who expunged the EU for Star Wars, suddenly they care about novels for trek? Really?

Kurtzman has been the last man standing three, or four times before after writers/show runners are fired, and every time it falls apart....

Moonves was in charge of CBS when the original license was split, and he decided to favor Kurtzman over a half way decent writer to finish pre-production.

We are in this position, for everything to be "fixed, " by Kurtzman's own hand; be it intentional for paramount's license, or his normal lvl of "competence" with the content. At this point, I'm convinced 'fixing' everything will only mean JJverse prime will be retconned to look closer to canon trek to con people into thinking we're finally in canon....

As I said, a terrible idea, which only looks good because this whole series has been so disappointing to Sci Fi fans.

Even if it changes everything, unless they present a setting that honors Roddenberry's humanism, and a united humanity, I'm not going to be satisfied.

Dump the JJ visuals queues, and get some professional Sci Fi writers, and they'll win this Trekkie back.

I don’t agree that it’s off track, I am really enjoying the show Love Anson Mount as Christopher Pike that was. Genius!
Great show Great acting and story line, please just stop being so dame negative and let the show be entertaining and not some kind of history lesson. I also think they should put some free episodes on CBS you will entice a larger audience once they see the quality off the show .

Shout out to the "Darmok and Jalad" poster!! That reference alone made this all worth watching.

The Red-Angel is Picard. The "Red" in Red-Angel is from the Red-matter Spock used to leave the prime timeline in the JJ Verse. Picard is helping prevent a war, repair a timeline and also assisting young Spock / Burnham because of the Mindmeld / Katra imprint both Spock and Sarek left on him in TNG. Season 2 of discovery ends with Picard returning to his own time (New Picard Show) and dealing with the impact of the destruction of Romulus, which was caused by the Red-Matter. This further inserts Discovery into Cannon and leads Disco fans into the new Picard show.

The RED Angel is Picard. The robotic future enemy is an advanced Borg. The whole thing links to Picard show. End of story.

Best part of Youtube are these super high quality channels like The Popcast that make better content than ones with 500k subs.

So "Star Trek: Discovery" is "Quantum Leap" now? What, did one of the idiots in charge see Scott Bakula in "Enterprise" and mix the shows up or something?

I'd love the red Angel(s) to be the Burnhams. That would be so clean. Somehow, I don't think the current writers will tie bows that neatly.

I don't think the STD writers are that smart.

Here's what I think is going on The probe landed on the same mechanical world that V’Ger landed. Got upgraded, now called D’Sco, and was sent back searching for the maker. It infected Airiam. She somehow goes back in time and meets a handsome Swedish male; gets married and change her name to Airiam Borg. He dumps her because she couldn’t provide him with children. So She gets mad and blames the Federation for abandoning her in the past and becomes the Borg Queen.
Borg marries another girl. His descendant becomes a professional tennis player and becomes the nemesis of John McEnroe. In actuality, he just doesn’t like Shia LaBeouf for staring in Transformers because Borg has a fear of robots. Look it up, “Borg vs McEnroe”.
