Great little segment. My dad who recently past away, two biggest love was Celtic and Rod Stewart. He actually managed to catch a Rod Stewart Signed Football at a concert in Australia and cherished it along side his Celtic memorabilia.

In terms of skill and longevity as a player, this Aberdeen fan, considers that Bobby Lennox is the greatest ever Celtic player.

Rod doing the cup draw was hilarious, but then Stubbs being the man to mess up put the icing on the cake

I'm English, growing up in the 80s we didnt have football 24 7 on tv but I used to buy shoot and match annuals and remember loving the Celtic kit and badge, then ended up going to a catholic school and learning more about the history and Celtic along with West Ham were my teams .
41 now and fell out of love with football years ago because I think money has ruined the game yet Ange and his Celtic team have rekindled my love for football again and I'm as fanatical as when I was a kid all over again 💚

If Londoners can support Man Utd and Liverpool, then this fella can support Celtic... My parents are Irish, and that's where I stand too. Its not where you are born but where your heart is...

Rod Stewart, an Englishman who supports a Scottish club who think they are Irish. His dad was Scottish and a Hibs fan.

The Premier League is already the strongest, richest, and most popular league in the world. It seems to me Celtic and Rangers need the Premier League much more than the Premier League needs them.

All this time I thought he was Scottish

Sir Rod even mentions Celtic in one of his famous 70s hits . I remember going to see Dundee 0 v 6 Celtic in a freezing December day in 1974 - Kenny Dalglish's best ever game for the hoops . Rod was playing celebrity, opening a record shop in Dundee that morning . In the the afternoon, he attended the match and was raving about Celtic and Dalglish's performance . Sir Rod loves Celtic .

The first Champions league final what I watched was Celtic vs Inter Milan in 1967. Celtic won. Great team.

Rod was a rangers fan for decades and loads of photos of him in rangers jerseys and sat in the ibrox crowd, total hypocrite

The best way for Celtic and Rangers to join English football is for them to go to the Efl championship and get promoted in the first season, then a further 2 or 3 years in the epl giving other Scottish teams a chance to make history, win titles and progress so that when Celtic and Rangers come back they have better competition.

He seems to skip past the part of his Scottish football roots of being photographed several times wearing rangers strips ...played at John Greig’s testimonial and in the old McEwan’s lager sponsored white strip back in the late 80’s

Rod Stewart always fancied himself a right back as much as a singer/rocker. He played recreational football his whole life and surely it helped him stay healthy and youthful. Got to respect that big time.
