I own a mono copy (UK, i think) with the title misprint "I Want To Love You" instead of "I Want To Tell You".
Got it from a co-worker, big Beatles fan, who passed away not long after.
He owned many if not all mono albums (originals).
They were spread amongst a few thriftstores 😵
He would never have wanted that, but he was alone, and no one had any say in the matter.
Just think of finding a mono White Album in a thriftstore 😱

Great video Brian! I always like when somebody is talking about Revolver. It's my favourite Beatles album since I first heard it in 1981, when I was a boy. I was hooked. Still am!

Klaus Vormann also designed the covers for the 3 Anthology albums and he was the bass player for the 60's group The Manfred Mann. He also played on a number of former Beatle solo albums.

The seagull sounds at he end of Tomorrow never knows are tape loops of Paul laughing speeded up. Also the guitar solo on Tomorrow never knows is part of Paul’s Taxman solo played backwards. Great video. Thank you.

12:38 - I was 12 when I bought Yesterday and Today. I tried steaming the cover off to see if I had the "butcher cover" underneath. I didn't and ruined my album sleeve. I taped it up but it looked terrible.

XEX-606-1 in the dead wax on side 2 Mono "Revolver", is the indicator of the rare "Tomorrow Never Knows" Mono mix. The mix has four guitar riffs in the middle of the song instead of five, as well as an extended piano outro.

Great video! 👍🏻 I love this “middle Beatles” period (“Help!”, “Rubber Soul”, “Revolver”). Not so simple like first songs, more ambitious but still no arguments and fights between them, you can here a real band there.

4:56 Pendulums, plural, was a potential title for Revolver? Wow! A Creedence Clearwater Revival album, released in 1970, was in fact titled Pendulum, singular.

CAPITOL RECORDS SHOULD INCLUDED ON THE YESTERDAY AND...TODAY ALBUM, PAPERBACK WRITER AND RAIN INSTEAD, SO THE LENNON SONGS SHOULD REMAIN INTACTED ON REVOLVER.

And most Stereo copies of "Yesterday + Today" have the three "Revolver" songs in fake Stereo. Stereo Capitol Record Club pressings from 1969 and after, as well as later Stereo Purple label Capitol pressings, also have different true Stereo mixes that are unique to the US. Those unique true US Stereo mixes are also on all Y+T tape issues.

Good video on the CDs. Hope they resolve that in the upcoming release. My best sounding version of Revolver is the LP BC13 Dutch version. I played the Horzu against it. The Horzu seems thinner. Both good. Check out the bc13 Dutch set. The BC13 set is an amazing value and fixes all the problems of the 2009 vinyl stereo box. It has all the best stereo mixes anywhere IMHO and you can find them in mint condition. Clean clean clean! Dead silent vinyl. Flat.
