I just watched a TikTok that claimed most recipes, esp those made by professional test kitchens, are made with the less salty Diamond Crystal kosher salt. So, you should do the opposite of this advice... adding less, not more when using the types of salt found in most grocery stores.

Truthfully, less is better. We don't need everything to be so salty. And it's easier to remedy under-salting as opposed to over-salting a dish, which could ruin the whole thing.
