i successfully did the same swap back in 2017 actually my crew did 3 of them, we didn't swap the harness. tapped into the transmission harness for backup lights and sensors. Runs like a dream.

Just got a 2002 TL a few months ago. 120K on it and she’s a little rough cosmetically, but no rust. Nice ride with good handling and acceleration. Definitely fun to drive. Factory Bose system bumps too.
The looming trans issue obviously sucks, but for me it’s the best looking gen of TLs. Just wish it had awd.

i have a 2001 acura cl type 3.2 automatic. my grandmother owned it and had to replace the tran a couple of times. but when i got it its been running strong just keeping up with it. im at 260k miles strong.

I've got a 2000 TL and yes, the trans is finally going out at 220000 miles. Question: Will a 3rd gen trans fit in my 2nd gen? I heard they're slightly better than the 2nd gen. Love the car, but dreading the trans replace or rebuild costs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And a manual trans is sounding nice. I just want to explore my options. Thanks.

@HummyHitVTEC I'm sure we all appreciate this video, I know ido! I have one question. What did you guys do about the gauge cluster? did you use the auto cluster that has the original miles or swaped in the Cl cluster? I have a complete donor 6 speed cls and swapping into my tl type s.

I have a question. I have an 03 tl and my rear breaks aren’t working we did everything you can do … the guy said something about a porportion valve for my master cylinder

Would you guys be able to help me locate the shock absorber for the manual ?? And or side mounts for the manual trans ?? In serious need to purchase!
