If you’re ever struggling with your own progress, I also do coaching, for which I'm working alone, but trying to build a competant team to offer the best possible service and follow up, all individualized to the individual, for those looking to both lose weight, build muscle or compete in sports at the highest level.

Joke on you I’m too broke to justify any cookie cutter routine behind a pay wall

The problem is also that tons of these crapfluencers get millions of followers just by speaking bs, and more people believe them BECAUSE they have large followings. Eddie Abbew is a prime example of this...

The worst part is that they claim coaching is for everyone when the average person would not benefit from the slightest by having an online coach. Eat less, move more, lose weight, problem solved.

In France, selling coaching services without education is illegal. I think it’s a good thing

My coach was honest with me. He said yah you're fat, and you could loose that weight, but you'll still be ugly.

VShred got me to a 5 plate deadlift when he took me to Athlean X's gym. Jeff Cavalier has these special plates that stops shoulder impingement because ummm, face pulls! Or something!??

I think part of the problem is normal people don’t know who is the expert and who is the scammer with fitness and diet. If someone looks good then they must know what they are talking about. V-shred vs Dr Bill Campbell is a great example of the problem.

They are not coaches but roaches. We need more people like smol bac guy

The problem is that even if you find a "real" coach they charge a lot, and I mean a lot of money, way more than your monthly gym membership. And at the end your the one who's doing all the work and paying for the right foods and supplements they recommend.

I have a friend trying to sell programs and coaching online. I told him I'd ask people if they wanted to try it, but I wasn't expecting a single one to be interested. And yeah, no one cared. A few of them actually clarified they didn't want to work with him because he was too big and looked like he took steroids.

Every video like this is a V-shred call out... I'd rather get infinite temu ads for the rest of time than have to see his smug face pop up unconsented on one of my YouTube videos again

People just gravitate to who looks the best?
Reminds me of that scenario where if you see two barbershops next to each other, one with a super good looking haircut and the other with a trash haircut, you would choose to get your hair cut by the latter than the former. Cause who do you think these two barbers get their hair cut by?
Obviously it doesn't apply very well to fitness coaching, but the point is to stop and think about stuff before making decisions.
