As an Aussie myself I can confirm there isn’t much delay in terms of delivery of bikes. Although Canyon and also Ribble aren’t shipping here until the start/middle of next year.

Can confirm, they are legends at Total Rush, ride with them each week, best people.

In terms of supply chain, Australia is geographically much closer to the major manufacturing hubs when compared with the US, food for thought.

Interesting factoid - About 2 weeks ago on the Specialized Australia site, they offered the Aethos (in green) witht the new 24 speed Ultegra. Now when I visit the site, this bike has been removed. It's still showing on the Specialized New Zealand site. To me, this indicates a dynamic tension internally between Specialized Product Marketing (who want to promote new groupset bikes to remain competitive with Trek etc) and Supply Chain teams (who don't want to create additional demand which they cannot satisfy)

I picked up the matte silver SL7 Expert, 2021 model last year for $5, 500. The stock bike is fine. When I first saw it at the shop it was $5, 000. Then they went up $500.00. Only one in stock in NH, so I ate the increase and bought it. Love this bike! If I upgraded my wheels, (when) it will be far cheaper than this model. Think is, these R470’s are fine! Di2 is really opening doors. This bike is so much fun to ride, Holds its speed, handles amazing, and remains comfortable for 100 mile days.

That’s so heavy if am paying 10k for a bike its should be below 6.8 with 50mm wheels if giant tcr can do it i am sure specialized has the money to make that happen.
