RE: number of line outs, you can connect a sound interface via usb and route your audio out from the Maschine+ through that. cheers

The fact that it has a single set of stereo outs does not bother me because I typically run every track through some sort of effects unit when recording it into the DAW. When I had my MPC 2500, I rarely did simultaneous multi-tracking, anyway. My only complaint with the unit is that it won’t allow me to use 3rd party plugins.

I like headphones on a back! They did it, because it does not poke your belly when you're on Maui, on a lanai, on a couch, with bear in one hand, and poking pads with the other :)

Does the plus still reset itself when your scrolling samples in standalone mode?

I returned my Maschine Mk3 and got a MPC live 2. Thats the true meaning of portability because It has a built-in battery, touchscreen, speaker. But I miss the workflow of the Maschine so I bought the Mikro. I also never used the MPC software in a computer because I don't like the workflow but in the standalone unit it's where it shines. But I have to say that it has a limited but solid sounds. Unlike the maschine plus were it has komplete and massive so you have lots to choose from. Overall I'm happy with the MPC live 2.

Asda male to male Jack leeds extension cables 1 meter £3.50 2 meters £5.00. Male to female and female to female connector jack Leeds 3.50. I bought about 10 of them. Never have headphones wire length problem again, they also make great moduler or CV, Gate patch cabling.

Connect a Maschine Jam to the plus and something magical wil happen. Navigating clips and step sequencing is so much more fun that way.

BOSS RC-505 MK1 & MK2 have headphones out the back. It's a lil inconvenient.

I'm sorry but I think your complaints about the analog outputs are really funny, when you talk about the individual outputs of your old machines, they really aren't from this era and belong to a past where even the old Maschines weren't audio interfaces, you couldn't do what you do today with a Maschine mk3 controller for example, but the Maschine Plus is a sampler and an integrated Mk3.

This machine is a complete workstation, it's also an MPC, it's also a maschine Mk3 controller, it's also a 24-bit 96khz midi and audio interface that handles 24-bit samples from kontakt.

It also has a mixer full of audio plugins to handle each channel of the internal mixer, that's why it's funny to ask this machine for individual outputs because it is designed as an all-in-one solution and not as an external sampler like the classics of the years. 80, 90, 2000, where to connect to your audio interface or analog mixer to process those audios with pedals or processors without being able to automate.

With maschine you can automate everything, anything, it's a machine that simply beats anything old.

And it does not have a touch screen, which for me is an important point since synthesizers and samplers with delicate screens die over time and are very expensive to repair.
Greetings and thanks for the video with all the information and personal perspective. 😁👍

Ive also been using Maschine since 2012 like you started with a mk1. What i really want to see in the plus is, a better arranger mode or record live to arranger mode because i hate using the current situation for arranging to the timeline.

And I thought I was late to the party with my recent MK3 purchase.

I love the MK3. At a little over £300. It offers me multiple angles of attack. I use with a laptop/ desktop because I'm on the producer side of things and hotswap between the hardware UI, the maschine 2 software and my daw depending.

Had some mk 3/ maschine 2/ infiltrator 2 fun earlier.

Is there better stability from crashes on the + than on the Mk3?

I thought the MK3/ Maschine 2 CPU hits would be computer spec dependant?!

I'd like to check out MPC One/ Live MkII next time around.

Great vid and Happy New Year!

Just a comment about the head phone jack. I too hate it being at the back. With that being said I'm pretty sure the older mpcs like 2000, 2000xl and even the newer lives have the head phone jack at the back.
Your comment on it seems to suggest the older mpcs have a front headphone jack but that's not the case. In fact I'm sure it's just newer (relatively newer) like the 1000, 2500 and 5000 that have.

The main competitor for the Maschine+ is Akai Force.

I have the plus and it has been nothing but crashing and freezing, NI have replaced it twice so maybe it will be third time lucky. I also have the MPC live Mk2 and that unit has been amazing rock solid performance every time . Love the MPC, the plus is on the got to go list but I’m sure a new MK2 plus is around the corner.
