How to Stop iOS iPadOS 14.5 & 14.6 Audio Stutter Skipping Bug

Has the audio playback for your Apple iPad recently become choppy or glitchy with all Apps? Are you using a USB C to 1/8” dongle? Try unplugging it and plugging it back in. It’s not a true fix, but it does stop it from happening. Is this issue affecting bluetooth audio? Is this affecting iPhone with lightning port?

iPadOS 14.7 (and at this point 14.7.1) update fixes Audio Stutter Skipping Bug. Been testing for a couple days with no issue. It’s listed in the bug fix notes as, “Audio may skip when using USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapters with iPad.”

I have this issue on my Iphone Xs and anytime I open another APP while using the youtube APP. I get audio freezes/buffering that is about 3seconds apart and consistent. I have to turn off the phone and turn it back on. It stays fixed until I get a text or anything that engages another APP. I stopped using this phone due to this issue and here I am 4 years later trying to use it and THE SAME PROBLEM. THANKS APPLE, I will be returning to Android as they actually have engineers (either theirs or 3rd party) that fix issues and find working solutions to such issues.

Oh my god I have had this problem for months I found a way around it by unplugging and plugging again I thought it was my headphones, and caused me a massive headache thank god they fixed it in the new iOS updates because I even replaced my old USB c to jack because it was a bit beat up, i feel so dumb for not looking it up and realising I just needed to update lol

I've got this friggin' problem with my iPhone. It was happening with my iPhone 12 Pro, and I upgraded when the iPhone 13 came out hoping that would put the issue behind me; it didn't. It'll happen playing audio from various apps, and outputs (speaker, AirPods, etc...). I'm an IT guy, and you had me in tears laughing. I try not to ever be the Factory Reset Guy. I hate that guy.

Well 3 YEARS LATER: this issue still happens in the latest iPhone 15s with all kinds of Bluetooth Audio Devices.
And I dont have time to reboot my Phone and Re-Pair all of my devices everytime this shit happens.
Also I never had this issue with any Android Phone in the last 8 years or so.
Apple, fix your shit!

I’m using the built-in speakers on my iPhone running iOS 14.6 and the audio in YT is skipping and microstuttering so much, arrrg!!!

My iPhone 12 max pro or whatever the fk it’s called has annoying Bluetooth stutter in my car so fn irrigation it’s 4 days old. All music download on device too! Tried all the “resets” on/off crap all except for factory resetting because I too believe that’s total BS! You’re absolutely 100% right, that shit takes time to do it right literally about half my day. And for a 1200 dollar phone? Total crap. I’m having a suspect though. The stutter is way less frequent when I move my phone away from the car’s dash pocket and just rest it on the passenger seat. Very weird. Need to investigate this more

This happens with my M1 iPad Pro 11 inch too, I found a fix where you can initiate siri using power button and wait for siri to say something and the problem disappears i go back to app that I was playing media on, rarely if it doesn't I do that siri thing another time then it works
