Floor Barre is an extremely important conditioning for a dancer. Floor Work helps understand the right alignment of the body, relieving tension and stress on joints due to the absence of gravity, develops the key muscles to use when performing the exercises standing and improves flexibility.

Floor Barre concentrates on toning muscles, lengthening them and improving technique. Floor Barre is very beneficial for anyone that would like to understand how the body should work in ballet when standing in order to make the execution of exercises correctly.

I don't do ballet anymore, but I badly sprained my ankle a few weeks ago and these floor barre workouts are actually perfect for exercising and getting my ankle moving again. Thank you!

Ahh, Alessia, you never disappoint! Keeping REAL ballet in your workouts is what distinguishes you from all of the "barre poseurs". Although we know that there can be overlap of training from pilates, yoga, yogilates, piyo (I was never sure of the difference between these two cocktails), there are plenty of folks out there teaching such classes (and perhaps you teach those, as well).But so far you are unique in sticking to the Classical vocabulary and keeping it undiluted. This floor barre will be a great warm-up for my regular ballet classes. Thank you, again, for another wonderful- and useful- workout!

I was calling you a psycho while I was doing the beats on my stomach and then you said “don’t hate me” and I just collapsed and bursted out laughing, anyway this is really helpful my ballet classes are starting back soon from summer break so this was really useful as I haven’t danced in like 2-3 months

Just did your ballet barre for the first time. FAB! Did ballet (for fun) many years ago for a long time, and have the knees to prove it. This was fabulous as I was able to do all the old moves (with correct terminology) that I can no longer do standing. Thanks so much

I am a 54-year-old Korean woman who began to like the fitness through jazz dance. Unfortunately I had my foot and ankle broken during the dancing class 3 months ago. My left leg had been clad with the full leg castor for 10 weeks and now I am off the castor and trying to walk again.

I found your channel by chance and followed some exercises, when my castor was removed. At first it was extremely hard and awkward for me to do them right because of my stiff and swollen left leg. For the first week I only could do a couple of floor workouts. And now I added some barre workouts, since I can stand on my feet now.

My foot is still aching and the healing is very sluggish. But I can feel the progress, which keeps me working on.

I like your way of explaining and presenting the poses. They are easy to follow yet physically challenging.
