I've been using amoled for a while now but honestly just seems a waste of battery. For now i think i would value always on screen without wasting too much of a battery more then more vibrant colors.

Hermano la idea es que hagas la comparación con el mismo fondo de pantalla, ya sabemos que el fenix se ve mucho mejor bajo el sol pero se va a notar mucho más si en el fenix tienes números grandes y en el epix unas agujas pequeñas.... la comparación no fue justa.... saludos

The daylight comparative is not correct. With medium background light, the Epix screen is perfectly seen.

My dilemma is that my main (almost only really) use case is navigation with maps outdoors while running various city or trails that i’m not familiar with. Battery is sufficient for me on both (not doing anything multi day where I can’t charge at night) so it comes down to legibility of maps outside at different times of day. Seems that the map resolution is better on epix and more details can be seen, but i live in a pretty sunny place and I don’t want to be squinting at my epix when it’s really sunny, but then again if the maps on it really are way better maybe it’s worth the squinting in direct sun for the amazing experience on overcast days? Then there’s the whole question of always on vs having to raise my wrist…what do you think?

The only test not shown is in the dark, but the Epix Pro is by far the winner because of the AMOLED screen. The Fenix 7 Pro has tested much better in the daylight but the decision is yours! Comment on which one you would prefer!

Did anyone notice that this watch has some delay / latency in turning on the screen when you just simply rotate the hand to check what time it is?
First time, when you rotate the hand, the watchis having some delay in turning on the screen, but if you rotate the hand immediately, for the 2, 3rs time there is no lag?
Is it only my watch that is having this issue or this is by design a glGarmin behavior?

As Carlos stated, the comparison was not right/fair as both have different backgrounds, the FENIX has digital and the EPIX an a good "comparison".

アウトドアを楽しんだ場合epix proは31日持ちません。5日程度です。

それでも5日で充電できるなら良いでしょう。
あと日中の見にくさと画面が表示されのに間があります。
地図は綺麗ですが喜びは最初だけです。
fenix7xproにも不満があります。
ソーラーがおもちゃです、充電されないです。売りなのに。

This is the ONE instance where I think Apple is taking the correct approach. A 3000 Nit AMOLED display is optimal for the best of both worlds. Its just that its a battery hog.
