I have to say that the scene with the rebels in the city was pure gold. It was exactly I had expected

I completely agree. Theon's character is the best acting Ive seen on the show. Since he arrived in Winterfel, I have marvelled at his talents.

The all scene with Theon at Winterfell at the beginning of the last episode was probably one of the best scene i've ever seen on tv ! great acting!

Its weird I start to like Tywin, But what I loved about this episode, is Tyrions anger and bitch slapping the king is always priceless!

Just noticed, they are using the soundtrack from Gladiator for this GOT snippet. An epic movie music for an epic TV series!

I didn't even notice that Bran was shouting at Theon - I thought it was someone else because his voice was so deep. Those kids are growing up fast!

Irri had a fairly major part in the books. I think she was Danny's lover. I don't really see what they gain in killing her off unless they seriously plan abridging the story told in the books.

A Storm of Swords is being done over 2 seasons length, so 20 episodes for less than double the length of book as this one. AFfC and ADwD will be (I assume) have their storylines mixed together and done over at least 2 seasons per book's worth. They're getting a bigger budget for each time around, so it can only get better.

In the books he's depicted as this evil man, I reckon that Arya and Tywin are going to bond so much that she'll beg robb not to kill him.

The boy who plays Joffrey is great, I agree. Everybody know Peter talent for Tyrion and that's fine to point out others actors as well.

The man who plays Theon acted so well the moment when his character beheaded sir Rodrick. You could swear the reaction is a real one, not acting.

I am a massive fan of the books, and dont mind the changes in the show.
They can't make it exactly the same plot, they have a budget.
Just accept the twists, some of them are quite interesting anyway.
They are not deviating from the books in any way that will effect the eventual outcome.
Remember they are working closely with George RR Martin.
Considering the scale and size of the stoy they have been doing a fantastic job of keeping to the books, unlike other TV/movie adaptations.

I hear you. Even in the books, it's confusing. Robb seems only ever to call his banners once, during the first season/book. Tywin has his army, Jaime lost his, and Stafford lost his. And Tyrion has his motley crew and the Gold Cloaks at King's Landing. And Stannis (as of now) has a lot of men and ships to assault KL. It's really unclear how many men the ironborn have, but I'd guess nowhere near the numbers that any of the others have.

This is the only episode that has surprised me, its nice not knowing what will happen next. They should not have taken meera and jojen out.

The boy who plays Joffrey deserves a freaking Emmy

Except she never really did sell Drogon, she just pretended like she was going to. As they were trying to take him she called together the Unsullied and took the city.

Besides, in the books a large part of the reason she attacks is the way they treat their slaves, ie hanging children on posts to guide her way and the entire Unsullied "process" when it is explained to her. Dany just seems alot stronger in the books than what I have seen so far in the show.

I have only started reading the first book. But, your right, The Mad King was her father :) totally makes sense. Thanks!

The stolen dragons came abit like a "uh what" shock, but i can see what they are trying to do.

She spends a looong time in that city without anything really happning. So either they show a bunch of scenes of her doing nothing and in the process probably killing her character (aka boredom), or they twist in something and advance her plot to the Undying story.

Shocking but i approve.
