HMCS is now HIS Majesty's Canadian Ship, not Her Majesty's Canadian Ship...I know Queen Elizabeth II had a long reign but presently King Charles III is the head of state of the UK...

These AOPS are basically unarmed and, last I heard, have still not received their qualification to land helicopters. Which really does not matter as, again from a RCN authorized video, they do not have a magazine to store torpedoes for ASW helicopters. Not to mention they do not have on-board torpedo launchers. They are very slow with a top speed of less than 20 knots.
Basically they are an artic community re-supply ship which can wave the flag. Big money for that.

Nice to go for a look at the other pole, and I am sure Australia, NZ, S. Africa, and various southern cone nations will be happy for the visit.
However, since then, one key ally has gone rogue and we may need this ship and its kin to hurry back to protect Canada & Greenland from their treachery.

I'm thinking Canada should keep it's military close to home, for a while.

To be all alone up there in pan ice & so pootly armed is unwise.
It should have 3 auto-cannon versus merely 1. One of the three should be a CIWS with its required higher rate of fire radar aimed/ guided.

The ships belong in the Coast Guard not the Navy. ITheycouldn't protect themselves from a fisherman with a knife
