Charts and quick clap backs work really well on social media. But if you actually sit down and take your belief from scripture, the text forces you into the trinity. I was raised oneness and I mean no disrespect but it’s a lot more complex then using a logical graph.

What a lot of Christians don't understand is that prior to the Council of Nicea, there were all sorts of Christianities (plural intentional) and Christ movements at the time, Trinitarianism was accepted to satisfy Christian movements that were formed outside of the monotheistic Judaic traditions, as opposed to the polytheistic ones.

Nothing wrong with that, per se, but I mention the above to highlight the fact that this notion that everyone agreed to what happened at the Council isn't entirely true. Yes, the ones who didn't agree were silenced and their movements scattered, but that doesn't mean they were necessarily wrong or heretic; they simply didn't have the backing of the Roman Empire.

By the way, Constantine I, who was emperor at the time was born pagan, and even though he converted prior to the Council, he still had paganist connections and so he didn't really care what the Council who convoked voted on. He just wanted to move on with the political outcome of the Council's decision, i.e.: a unification of the empire under his rule.

what about John 1:1 when it says that the Word was with God and God himself, it later states that Jesus Christ is the word. Does that not make him God? genuinely curious.

Who came up with the Trinity?
Tertullian (155-200 CE) was the first to use the Latin term 'trinity'. He described it as a "divine economy" as in the household or monarchy of God. God the Father laid out the divine plan, God the Son carried out the will of the Father, and God the Spirit motivated the will of God in believers (Adversus Praxean, 27)
