A fundraiser to support Meghan Markle’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, has skyrocketed to nearly £50,000 – almost five times its original goal!

The GoFundMe campaign, launched by royal author and socialite Lady Colin Campbell, came after Thomas Markle revealed that his 80th birthday wish was to reconnect with his daughter.

Thomas, who celebrated his 80th birthday this month, has expressed his longing to meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but acknowledged that this too is unlikely.

Please, WHY should Markle be upset about an article showing her father? His daughter was about to marry into the Royal Family! It was of public interest! Nothing wrong with that at all!!
