I followed all the steps and did the converting step even tho the files were .mp4 to begin with. Copied your command with changed locations to fit my system. When running the command I get a pop up from VLC saying "VLC media player could not start. Either the command line options were invalid or no plugins were found"
I tried the command with VLC already open and with it closed with the same result

it does not work bro... and the very first thing is that by default VLC media path goes to "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" even it does not work. I did copy the command from your description and changed the path according to my system setting but no luck although it does create a bogus file of 2 mb of no use
