Hey! Welcome to HOWZA channel! In today's lesson, we will teach you how to merge multiple videos in one using VLC media player.
Open VLC media player.
Click on Media at the top menu bar. Choose Open Multiple files from the list. A new window will open. Go to File tab. Click on Add. A new window will open. Choose the file that you need. Click on Open.
Go to Play button. Click on the arrow to see the drop-down list. Choose Convert from the list. Set Profile to Video – H.265+MP3(MP4). Check Append –converted to file name. Click on Start. Wait until is done. You can play converted video now.
We will show you another way. Right-click on the desktop and choose New folder from the list. Copy the videos that you want to merge and move them into the new folder. Rename the videos to 1, 2 and so on.
Create a new text file. Copy and paste the line that you can find in the description box below:
Go to the taskbar search. Type VLC and right-click on the app. Choose Open File location from the list. Right-click on the app. Choose Properties from the list. A new window will open. Go to Target. Select and copy the line. Close the window. Go to the text document file. Remove vlc_location and paste the copied text instead. Change the names of the video to match the names in the folder.
Open the folder with videos. Click on the address line. Type cmd and press Enter. A new window will open. Cope the line from the text file. Paste it into cmd window. Press Enter.
VLC player will open and will play the merged video file.

I agree I lost my audio when the two files converged. Video works now but no sound. that's an issue.

How are the combined files saved into one file? I can play this, but not save🤔. I was already able to get the clips to play consecutively. I thought I've done this before with a similar process. The video shows a saved file, but the written instruction set does not. Thx.

If I use the in-built program option, it doesn't work -- the program simply re-creates copies of the individual original files with the appended "-converted" to their file name.
If I use the *command-line code*, then the videso *DO get merged*, but *only the FIRST file* to have been added *has SOUND !!! :(*

WTF VLC Team?! why remove the merge functionality. This is a horrible solution.
I will just use Windows 10 build in video editior under Photos for combining MP4, should do a video on that, this method sucks.

Can we merge the two videos to work simultaneously one on the top and the other on the bottom of the screen ?!

Christ!! What a ridiculously contrived procedure. What's wrong with picking files in the order they are to be of joined in, click Save, enter file name and location and click OK?

I am sure people who like wasting time on the computer will find this method fascinating.
