I wonder if Motor Raid was included in the Yakuza spin-off called Judgment. If only someone would comment to let me know. But I don't think anyone will. :)

Virtua Formula was made for the pneumatic Full Motion Cockpit version. It does not have 16:9 because it used a 50" 4:3 Rear Projection TV for each Player. Most were later converted to Indy Formula (Upgraded Indy 500 for this cab) Sadly most were parted out in the early 2000s and eventually retired and replaced with the Super Deluxe Outrun 2 (Worked for Sega for a while in their Arcade Division)

It's crazy how well Model 2 and Model 3 stuff holds up today

I am impressed with Joe's dedication as shown by him actually blowing up his house for the end sketch.

The fact that Sega hasn't released all these games on a compilation disk for modern consoles is mind boggling.

CPS1 video from Sega Lord X and now this video from Game Sack… it’s like you guys knew I was at my local arcade today… it’s been a damn good Saturday.

Back in the nineties, I worked for Toshiba UK LTD. I'm based in Plymouth UK. Part of my work was on the assembly line for Toshiba Rear Projection big screen TVs, which were a thing before cheap big screen plasma, and finally LCD screens came along..I mention it because we used to build the Sega Arcade screens for UK arcades. We had a machine set up as a tech demo on the production line, which showed Virtua Racer when I started, and was changed to Sega Rally by the time I left.

I'm really sad new generations won't have the arcade experience we had. Playing arcade games with graphics we could never dream of having at home was incredible. Recently I managed to run the Model 2 emulator or 4 PCs connected to LAN and play Daytona USA with 4 steering wheels, it was a BLAST for the hole family!

Man, Daytona USA is so much fun playing it in Manual, the way you drift by turning the wheel fast and then counter it on another direction while gear changing to Gear 1 and the Gear 3 & Gear 4 couple of times..
When you pulled it off, you'd feel like a badass.. so satisfying

The Model 2's graphics were AMAZING at the time. It is wild just how advanced Sega was when it came to arcade hardware. The Model 2 was great but the Model 3 is by far my favorite. Model 3 games running on an emulator upscaled to 1080p+ still look great even today. I'm really hoping the next episode will be on the Model 3!

Whenever retro SEGA is the video’s topic, it instantly warms my heart. ❤

Absolutely fell in love with Daytona at our very limited arcade. 8x linked up cabinets was mind blowing to me at the time.
Oh, and awesome shirt too!

Man i love these games, i wish sega would re-release these instead of re-releasing columns, Sonic, Shinobi 3, Streets of Rage, etc, you know the usual ones, for the time

I discovered this channel because of the console wars skit, and I had a blast lately going back into your catalog!

90s Sega games had such a vibe. Those Sega blue skies will forever hold a special place in my heart. The funny part is, I played very few of these back in the day, but nonetheless, they still feel magical. Arcades were my happy place, and just like my happiness, they seem to have gone away forever.

It's historical to note that Virtua Formula was designed with 8 players with motion controlled cockpits. There were at least two arcades in the world that purchased this option from Sega to create setups that occupied an entire room.

flat shaded model 1 style polygons are a nostalgia hit quite unlike any other. would love to see some modern retro style games homage this style.

Clumsily is a word and an adverb and now apart of my new Game Sack School of vocabulary! Thanks Joe!

a lot of these games are more about the arcade experience, the physical presence of the machines, the unique control set ups and atmosphere more than the games themselves which are still pretty good
