I fixed it. I deleted the number instead of trying to change it. Then I ejected the sim and put it back again. Works now

Thank you for this. It worked for me. I transferred carriers and the donor phone number was still showing. But now it's showing the tranferred number!

Yea but do you get to eep your original number or do you have two numbers assigned to your phone?

When I try to download a new app Apple always has me go through the same process. Sign in, password, then confirm trusted phone number. I know longer have. It always wants the old number I don’t have. How do I reset the old phone number with Apple. I’ve already gone through settings changing the number there it does not reset the number with Apple.
