Hey Paul.. they are really stunning looking. Good Luck with the breeding.. you do know that once they start they will be having a blast! I love your set up.. plenty of room. They should be very happy in there. I can't wait to see them have babies!

I have bred my Rostratus and have a video on this on my channel. I did not do anything special. My question is, I have about 5 male rotstratus that I want to add to my 500 gallon. I do not want to do this if only one colors up because of the dominant/sub dominant thing. I love these fish, these 5 males I raised myself, and would like to keep them in my big tank but only if I have color on more than one dominant male. Your experience? Most folks on youtube have just one pair or one mail in a tank.

Do you plan to upgrade their tank? Love these guys but never had room for them.

Have you tried removing the dominant male and giving the sub a crack at being the dom to see if he is willing to mate?

I can’t believe they never breed. I had a Tangerine Tiger Group do the same

The trick is to make them think its Raining. Yep raining! What I do is when I'm doing a water change i let the water level get down below my filters output and the water splashes on the surface for about 10mins. Once you fill the tank up they should start. let me know how it works for u.

Hey i say add some reef crystal salts after a water change it has my tank doing the dance after every water change. Now im to the point i don't add it nomore. It will have 2 male fish dancing 😂😂
