As a Navajo, I SERIOUSLY CAN NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO 😭😭 it’s tiring when people call a moving tree a skinwalker 🙃

My grandma was native. Very kind Cherokee woman.

I asked her about these sorts of things once and she slapped me. “We don’t ever speak about these things.” She said.

Only time I ever saw her serious. We had a grizzly bear that would prowl around our place, not ALL the time, but fairly frequently. Called him King.

King was pretty chill, leave him alone, he’d leave you alone. After talking to my grandma about this stuff we had some weird stuff going on. Deer vanished, birds did too. But not King. King started hanging around a LOT more. One day we saw a big Buck, huge, wandering into the driveway, big circular driveway. But it was acting weird… like REALLY weird. It was looking around at our place, not like a deer, like a knowing intelligent creature. It walked towards our home, and then King showed up. No roaring, no growling. He walked into the yard, and this Buck just stared at it for a moment. King stared back, and the Buck ran out. Pretty soon everything came back to normal, and grandma and I never talked about it again.

King went back to minding his own business, but I like to think he knew what was up.

My friend lives on a huge reservation. I visited her and left one night and in the morning she texted me if I had knocked on the door around 8 AM. She said that I was at the door knocking asking if anyone was there. I freaked out, but she said that it wasn’t the first time it’s happened and whatever it was has impersonated other family members of hers. I had to drive so many acres to get out of her house and I had to get out and open/unlock the gate in the darkness. It still makes me paralyzed with fear knowing that something was watching me. I live out in the country too, and can hear large packs of dogs bark around 3 in the morning and then stop a minute later usually. The footsteps and scratching are an issue too. Thank you for the protection information we need it out here

I live in Arizona, I have seen some pretty crazy things, but the night I first had heard my own voice mimicked at night whilst talking a walk in the canyons was the scarest thing ive ever experienced.

It's very powerful that he kept the specific steps a secret because they are definitely people out there with the wrong hands and take this information for harm

I’m Native, grown up on the reservation & still living here. Growing up, I always knew that skinwalkers were ALWAYS a Navajo entity. It gets annoying watching other supernatural videos & they’re always claiming this is a skinwalker or that’s a skinwalker. I’m glad you made this video.

My brother, RIP, was on the bluffs off Bisti above Farmington, NM when he told me about an encounter with a Skinwalker. I believed
him about his experience because he was still shaking uncontrollable talking about this. My oldest daughter was on the Bisti hiway and told of me about a creature that was running along the passenger side of the car at 60 mph as she stared at it. She was terrified and never went up to the Bisti again. She still cries when she recounts that experience.

Thank you Shanclen, and I apologize for the length of my comment. I hope I get this right in assuming this is not the easiest of subjects to talk about, I am grateful that you set some straight but unfortunately most will still get it wrong. The power that you give to us is the knowledge to hopefully identify and protect ourselves. I know that evil prefers us to be confused, scared and divided. I am not of any of the native peoples of North America, that said I was born and raised in northern Utah and have lived here for entirety of my 40 years. I have traveled through a lot of the highways and back roads all over this great state and have seen some things that I thought I could never wrap my mind around; I am not saying I've seen a Skinwalker. I just know that some of those sightings just did not feel right. When I was younger, I didn't want to let myself believe that the supernatural was real because I traveled alone more often than not. My grandmother was born and raised in Vernal Utah, and she would tell the grandkids a story (I have tried to verify this but could not) about family going missing from their homestead with no trace, after this happened her father who was a volunteer fire fighter at the time and part of the search team, would not allow the children or their dogs out after dark. She never mentioned Skinwalkers but when she would tell the stories about something too big to be human that should not be walking on two legs through the fields around their home and the sounds that it made when it was, and she would say "hunting" you could see in her eyes the fear. She would not go back home with me to get my great aunts from Vernal, and on our way back to SLC my aunts and I saw something huge running on two legs keeping pace with our car I was doing 80 and picking up speed because they said to go and don't stop. Now I didn't get the best look, I preferred to stay on the road, but I did hear the howl/scream it made when I started to pull away from it. That was the first time I got the story from another source, and I saw the same fear in their eyes as I did my grandmother. I was 22 when this happened, I drove straight through to home that night and wouldn't travel back out there at night anymore. All I know is that it scared the shit out of me. And people like Shanclen are trying to educate not just because of miss identification but to protect ourselves. I can't explain how and I'm not going to try, but I feel that this man and his videos are authentic and not just out for fame and fortune. Keep up the good fight and stay safe out there. Thanks again

I was raised in Death Valley on the outskirts of town where the desert was our playground. One day my brother and I were walking the dogs and we heard a small dog crying out in the distance. So we followed the whimpers that seemed to get louder but we could not find the little doggie. So we let our German Shepard loose, he ran towards the direction of the sound and before we knew it he let out a yelp and quickly scurried back to us with his tail tucked between his legs. We decided that it was way to sketchy to continue the search for we were getting lured further into the desert. So we ran back home. So strange

When I was living in Yuma with my best friend (Navajo nation member, I am not), I remember unloading groceries from the trunk and I heard her call my name. She was cooking dinner that night, so I thought she needed my help with something. But then she called my name again, and her voice sounded… off. Idk how to describe it because it was her voice, but it sounded like slower. Like the vowels were being drawn out, or like how an AI reads words. It wasn’t natural. I decided not to answer until I went inside and spoke face to face. I asked her what was wrong when I took the last of the Groceries inside, and she was confused and said nothing was wrong. I told her what happened, and she immediately locked the doors, drew the curtains, and called her uncle who was a medicine man. She told me everything later, because she didn’t want to scare me, but I still remember that to this day.

Im cherokee Indian from the long hair tribe, and its really cool to hear about this and learn more about it. When i was young my great grandmother would tell me stories about how one time she was staying with her grandparents and she slept with her grandma and in the middle of the night her grandma got up and went to the window turned into an owl and flew away, and later returned before dawn. One of my favorite stories growing up.

I am full blooded Sioux. Born and raised in South Dakota. I've been all over in that state. Some of the most gnarliest places haha.
Pine Ridge, Martin, Kyle, and Rosebud all stand out as good childhood memories but that's where I was made aware at a very young age of the reality of evil.
I would always be told to be back before sunset when out wandering around on the rez. My dad would tell me not to eat or drink after dark for fear of attracting spirits. He was big on that, especially on not whistling at night. Shoot, I still believe that one.
He was a very spiritual man though and kept the traditional roots as well as being a Christian. Before smoking he would make an offering, break a cigarette, and leave it on the windowsill. I would always hear him recite prayers in the Sioux Language. He was my biggest example of being brave and strong. Now I being your typical teenager, would talk about SW's with my non-native friends, and everytime I did, I would always get this awful gut wrenching feeling like someone or something was coming after me. Many prayers later and that feeling goes away. I've never seen a SW but judging by how just saying the name makes me feel, I never want to.
Thanks for your content man!
A'ho!🤟

I'm not Navajo or indigenous myself, but I did spend quite a bit of time on the reservation living with some locals back when I went on a college trip down there (we weren't a mission trip or anything, it was VERY transactional where we would do chores and they would teach us about the culture). At the time I was doing my own research into the occult and other religions in order to discover what I truly believed, so I was pretty open to the ideas the locals would introduce us to. One night we were gathering firewood up on black mesa for a goat roast and the owner of the land told us not to cut down any trees that looked like they got struck by lightning. When we asked why, he said they were touched by the sky people and would bring us misfortune (illness, bad luck, etc.). We respected his wishes, but one of my friends wasn't sure if a fallen tree was struck by lightning or not. It looked like it definitely could have been, but he cut into it anyway and said he would only take a little bit just in case. Half way through the branch, the chainsaw stopped working. He pulled it out and we looked at each other and I said "uhhh yeah lets not mess with that one." He opened his mouth to agree, then a huge gust of wind rushed down the mountainside and knocked his hat about twenty feet away. It was a windless day and we were in the cover of a mountain so there was even less airflow. We decided not to press our luck and packed it up. That chainsaw did not work for the rest of the trip, even after repairing it.

Now, I've always been respectful of the desert. I lived in the American southwest and spent a lot of time down there. There is something about that area that is more "magical" than any other place I've been to. However, the stuff I have seen and heard on the reservation have taken that respect to a new level.

I am Native Hawaiian. I've always told myself "there's more to it" whenever I come across content about Yee Naaldlooshii. Love the info & insight of an actual Native. A lot of the orgins of our culture, stories & legends have been twisted & changed based on modern society. People truly believe Maui was just an ignorant shapeshifter based on Moana lol. Mahalo for your na'au (knowledge).

I live in the pnw, was walking on some remote horse trails when I heard a woman laugh beside me. Turned, saw nothing, continued on my way but started hearing a woman yell my name repeatedly getting closer, I quickly got off the trails and back to my car. No one should have been out there, not once in my years on those trails have I heard or come acrossed anyone.
Another time, I walked a mile or so from my job at night, and a doe followed me home, I've grown up around deer but this one was persistent and only when I got to a main road did it stop following, it just stared at me as I walked further away, didn't stop until I turned and broke line of sight.

I don't believe it was a skinwalker, yanagloshi, or an entity of Navajo origin but I am not educated on the topic, lovely video, subscribed! Thank you ❤

I truly appreciate this honestly. I always thought research online can be misconstrued or misinterpreted and never really ‘haunting’ or interesting until it is told by someone from the actual culture. I’m from Australia and have always been interested in learning more about the Native American culture as it holds so much history and deserves rightful recognition in full respect. Thank you for spreading this information truly! better (and scarier) than any ‘random encounter’. Could listen to you speaking in your language any day!

As a Navajo, I approve this video. I especially concur with the paralysis attack. A friend and I were at the front porch of my family's house when we heard this voice in the back where it shouldn't be. The night was calm while this female chant or talk broke the peace. We froze thinking "Who or what the hell was that?". There was immediate silence between my friend and I as we locked eyes. Next thing you know, there was a bang on the wooden fence like something jumped over it. That's when the dogs in the St. Michael's neighborhood started barking like crazy. This breeze virtually out of nowhere occurs making the tall-slim trees move back and forth down by the road. The volume of the dog barks decreased around us while they were barking at something up the hill where these water towers are. The trees stopped moving and the wind stopped. The kicker for me was that not only we sat there processing what just happened, but the volume of the dog barks went up again. The breeze also came back moving the trees down the road. By that point, we were like "Okay it's coming back. Time to go back inside and lock the door."
My friend was affected by this event the most that he sought out his uncle who is a shaman working at a dig in Chaco Canyon. Once his nephew told him everything that happened that night, the uncle wanted to see me like ASAP. I met him we spoke of that night and he agreed an evil being was at work at my house. After he gave a protection ceremony to us at his home I felt really good afterwards. I believe this was a spiritual attack or a plan to instill fear to the household.
My family also had the help of a Navajo Medicine Man when these "unwelcomed visits" happened two more times. With his help the visits were gone.

I hear you, brother. These non-natives throw "skinwalker this, skinwalker that..."; it's laughably goofy! I've had experience with them, the Dine taught me about them; I respect what they say--they're the premier authorities on the subject.
