So we are kind of fucked if we seek a more fun PVP MMO?Because the choice is the same old games that we played 10-15 years ago.I recommend for everyone Warhammer Return of Reckoning if you are looking for something "new" old and fun mmorpg.

Planetside 2 and Foxhole are completely PVP.

I play Albion online it's a really good PvP game 3000 hours put in I do corrupted dungeons which is 1v1 PvP environment if you die you lose everything same with killing and I am rank 11 honestly recommending it it's not pay to win but you have to be good in PvP good luck

if ur gona focus on pvp in wow, u usually go to retail not classic. thats where the pvp community is. classic isnt very balanced or updated on pvp, retail has tons and tons of new class mechanics making the pvp combat many times more complicated and interesting, and constant updates and balance tweaks.

played eso for 6 years, pvp has and always will be neglected. servers are laggy with desyncs, broken op sets every dlc and tanks and healers are always meta. game is a cash grab for mounts. avoid the game at all costs

can't recommend ESO in the slightest, especially if you don't live in the same country as the servers or even state. the servers are atrocious, and the ping is unplayable. I'm in Australia and get 400+ ping just because the servers are that terrible, whereas say blackdesert online I get a steady 190ms (would be lower if my net was better). Fun game but shit servers that ruin the experience.
I've even heard of americans still getting 150ms in Cyridiil

ESO is the worst pvp in any mmo, the devs dont care, 10 years and still no ranking system, and the most unbalance, flavor of the month, pay expansion to win pvp ever. If you are a pvp purist, stay away from this animation cancel mess.
