I think the most impressive part of mecha Godzilla that people seem to keep forgetting to mention, is that the mechanical weapon is built using the bones of the Godzilla skeleton as a base. As the bones were transmitting radiation throughout the series it could even utilize that somehow.

1) If you pay attention to the dialogue, you'll realize that Anguirus in the anime is a female
2) They didn't rename Gabara into Salunga because Salunga is a different kaiju from Gabara. It's not even a "It's my opinion" situation, it's a fact and I don't know why people can't remember that
