This was a test I did for a film about a giant robot landing in nonthaburi, Thailand. It was fun to put together! It's just a test so the quality and details aren't 100% so take it for what it is :D The base robot model I bought from Turbosquid, and other assets are from sites like Sketchfab.

The design and CGI quality are awesome you definitely have potential but as a giant robot connoisseur I'd like to suggest that in the space flight segment, you might want to integrate control surfaces or thrusters ala Gundam to simulate space flight You need to take into account the mass and inertia of the robot so each action needs a counterweight or counter force to stop the robot from spinning out of control. It's the small things like that, that can elevate your short film to a whole new level.

Lean into the neo-buddhist art style it kicks ass!
Also making the robot look less stiff by having it's limbs move more will help a lot.

Very nice work. I specially liked the dust and hot air (from helicopters exhausts) effects, aside from the details on the mecha. The Earth scenes look better than the ones in space. Congrats!

I was about to comment that the features of the mech itself look like they were inspired by one of the Southeast Asian countries but I just can't figure out which one. And then I read the description. Thailand! Nice touch of diversity there. I greatly appreciate this Thai gundam!

In space, when it moves its arms, I can see the model clip itself. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it. You may want to clean up the shoulders. I love the concept, I love the models.
