Peltier coolers have their place and their operating range. As you can see from the 'unregulated' you go below the dew point, you get condensation. The heat you pull out of the die, has to go somewhere and there is no magic. You have to do something. What you didn't do is run your rad fans to ramp as the water temperature rises. By going from CPU watts, you can ramp higher the fans to more ambient air is passed through it per second.

Doesn't sound like you understand Thermodynamics very well. I used to use 15 years ago the CoolIt Systems Peltier's. They were great little products for its time, pricey AF though.

So it works on games that can't load the cpu. What about turning off a few cores on the games that can, and run it at 200W 6GHz. Will that see an improvement?

Just to clarify generally, because I have some experience in this field, the "CRYO" setting is just "normal mode" for the TEC cooler while "unregulated" mode is where the sub ambient fun begins! Shame it just came out for 12th and 13th Gen Intel through open loop EK block, the 10th Gen Intel version of this TEC was released both from EK but also Cooler master in a convenient all in one 360mm rad configuration that I took my 10th generation i9 10900k passed 5.6 GHz all cores and stable for gaming back when 5 GHz was only for the "real" enthusiasts. I cant wait for your 14900k tuned video with direct die cooling.. Also a shot with this tech for funzies as you would say. At which point we will know what % a 14900k can do overclocked on a tuned system by a pro over the 12900k and 13900k.

Bought a 7800x3d with b650e-i. Figured out the bs issue of not getting into bios on 4000 series gpu by turning memory context and power down on. Did a bunch of tuning. Then found a 12v fan pin on the aio pump header that wasnt even soldered to the board from the factory. Good job asus. I found out. Returned. 13700k + z790i edge going strong now 💪

I use to work with this guy that spent thousands on a mini fidge thing that would get the CPU below zero. I remember it being huge bigger than the PC case with a tube that was mounted on cpu. The funny part is he only plays Warhammer rts games.

I have been using one on my second computer with a i9 11900k not using direct die 6ghz on all cores i had a msi mobo and couldn’t boot so switched to arous z590 xtream with no issues for 2 years my only issue is its loud and heats the room up eating power lol

The TEC on a 7800X3D would be the way to go since it has low TDP. Imagine the eCLK OC you could rip.

I worked a little bit on hacking the CryoCooler software to run Cryo mode on a 5800X a while back, but ended up just running direct 12V for some bench runs and left it off most of the time. Made the temps worse when off but didn't affect gaming really. Ran like that, steel wire strapping it to the socket for like two years.

You may have messed up...During the stress tests & games, why wasn't the cooler put into the same mode that kept reducing the idle temps from 15-ish degrees to around 5-ish? Isn't that utilizing the power (no pun intended) of the cooler?

You should try see this again and see what happens with a 7800x3d since it draws way less power.

An easier workaround might be changing lower profile to power saver while installing shaders.
