Diamond Dave, David Lee Roth was into the martial arts and it showed in his abilities on stage to bring in those acrobatics a showman. Mean Streets is one of their best, highly ranked by many music critics for Eddie's intro, this riff and the subject matter.

This was definitely overdubbed with the studio version. Not complaining. Killer song. One of my favorites. The intro to this song grabbed my attention immediately as a kid when it was released. Great album.

This is a 41 year old song that still shows what real rock with incredible musicians can create. Thank you Asia and BJ for appreciating music that can't be duplicated. I can honestly say that it's reaction videos (good ones) that are doing a lot to share and introduce music to an audience that might otherwise not know it exists. When I was younger it was listening stations in music stores, but now, thanks to people like you, classic music is introduced, and appreciated, in modern times.

We were at a Judas Priest concert at the Oakland Coliseum Arena waiting for the opening act (Dokken), and the sound engineer played "Mean Street" and "Unchained" and we might as well have been at a Van Halen show. The crowd went nuts.

Eddie is definitely famous for his tapping, but his rhythm guitar playing is what it’s all about, along with Michael Anthony on bass, and of course, Alex Van Halen on the skins!! Everything came together just right to form The Mighty Van Halen!! Love you both!!❤️💋🥰

David Lee Roth started studying martial arts at the age of 12. Roth has earned belts in Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, and Karate, and has practiced sword-fighting for decades. Not a bad front man for a rock band!! Great reaction!

Back in the day Van Halen was on top of the world. Fair Warning is my all time favorite VH Album... " Sunday Afternoon In The Park/One Foot Out The Door" is a Must!

From '77 til DLR departure '85 they were IT ! Everybody would focus on Ed's solo's when it is his rhythm play that was the jewel. I have been listening to his ISOLATED guitar tracks since his passing and recommend everyone listen to a few of them. The sound and tone on some of the tracks are beautiful (actually all of them are)

I grew up in the same town as Eddie & Alex, went to their backyard parties in Pasadena Ca, when they were called Mammoth! hung out with them on the sunset strip in Hollywood, Ca at all the local clubs they played, then in a blink of an eye they were gone! signed! seen them countless times in concert. I was a very lucky guy to grow up Van Halen! RIP Eddie! We miss you....

Eddie was so talented. He could make that guitar scream. And Roth was into martial arts that's why he was so flexible. RIP Eddie

Van Halen in their prime! The absolute prototype for all 80's hair metal bands! Very funky song!

We were so spoiled back in the day. We expected a high level of performance from our Rock Bands and they delivered it to us all through the 70's and the 80's. It was just a high bar that everyone was expected to perform at. Sometimes goofy and a little cheesy but it was authentic and hella entertaining. When you paid your 10 dollars or maybe 25 dollars to see a high level rock concert OR an all day Rock Festival, you expected to see the best show and we saw many of them. I was a lucky young lady back in those days. ROCK ON!

Great job and great pic. Never again will there be another band like Van Halen! Greatest guitarist ever, Greatest front-man ever, Best background vocalist - Michael Anthony(on bass), and killer drummer. Never again, but at least we were alive during this time to enjoy it! Pure incredible MAGIC!

This song was taken from in my opinion the greatest Van Halen album ever made. And that is fair warning. It is the first record of theirs with no covers and it is also the shortest record they ever made. And this is one of the greatest songs of the 1980s. Great selection and as always you guys are simply the Best

I love the original Van Halen with David on the vocals. Thanks for this reaction.

One of the best of the songs from the classic lineup of Van Halen. I only saw the original lineup once but David Lee Roth was so drunk that he couldn't perform and it was a two hour wait for their set after the Scorpions played and a long hot day at a festival so most everyone in that 300, 000+ crowd was heading for the gates in disappointment. Hard believe that it has been almost 40 years ago now. I still got the concert T-shirt from the Us83 Festival tho 😆

Crushing riff by Eddie! His lead playing is legendary but I feel his rhythm playing is just as good, if not better!
