Of all the industries the coronavirus pandemic has affected, the airline industry is among those that have been hit the hardest. According to the International Air Transport Association, airlines' passenger revenue is estimated to sink by over $300 billion from 2019. In the age of social distancing, planes are not designed to keep passengers six feet apart. Still, airlines are making drastic changes to their travel policies, pushing sanitation efforts, and more to attract weary travelers back to the skies.

It took a pandemic to make sure everything is clean.

The new cleaning standards everywhere should be mandatory law even after all this cuz the way it was before was deplorable

I never understood why planes are not boarded from back to front before covid.
Its the best way to keep the isles clear from people who don't know how to put their luggage in the overhead bin.

Seems like making all the seats so close and uncomfortable isn't paying off now.

Travel by air will be far too much bother. Forget the vacation to Europe. It won't be worth the hassle. It won't even be anywhere near close to be worth the hassle. A bag of peanuts and a bottle of water during a flight to London? Ridiculous. And paying a lot more?

Informing people that their plane is full so they can unhook at the last minute juste feels... wrong
Like why do you still accept more people if you know it could be dangerous?

If you're scared of getting this virus you shouldn't be on a plane period, these people are goofy.

The sooner they can pack us in like sardines again the happier the air lines will be.

I give it 2-3 years to travel to be back to normal levels. We all said we would never get back on a plane after 9/11 but we did. Well most of us travelers did.

Instead of limiting the number of seats sold, Airlines should actually remove seats and rearrange them and advertise them as "luxury" seats with wider aisles and twice as much feet space. It is very easy to remove airline seats just like van seats.

It’s not just the plane or flight that is causing reduced air travel. It’s also the closure of things to do if you do travel. If hotels are cancelling reservations, or even if they are open, bars and restaurants are either closed or not the most exciting experience.

I like how they start with a graphic of the seat tray as if it has coronavirus on it, and THAT is why people are worried about airlines... not the fact that you're crammed in like sardines inhaling everyone's recycled ass funk.

Plexiglass manufacturers are at least making a profit 🤔

It's great living and traveling here in Europe without having to bump into a whole bunch of tourists.

Anyone here in the middle of their flight training now wondering whether it's a good idea to continue?

"the middle seat is a pr tactic" dude having 1/3 fewer passengers will mean fewer chances to have a sick person wtf

Have been travelling for 40 years. The days of No Securiry Checks and plenty of drinks and food.

finally they need to clean the planes properly, before it was a hygienic disaster entering an airplane !

And they haven’t lowered the prices either I still see some of the same prices as last year. If they want to pack the planes they need to lower prices for future travels.
