Thank you so much sir. This is so helpful in explaining what the doctors are so concerned about when my daughter went for her first pregnancy visit. She thought she was 10 weeks. The ultrasound person said that she could see the baby, but couldn't find a heartbeat and the baby was only showing as 7 weeks. They also did a vaginal ultrasound and still couldn't hear a heartbeat. The hcg test is reading 16, 607. They are thinking this may be a missed miscarriage. She goes back for another hcg test tomorrow and another ultrasound in 2 weeks. My daughter had told me that the ultrasound pictures were abnormal. This video explains a lot. Thank you.

Thank you for this video. From a colleague: patient presented to ER with significant bleeding/ at 11 weeks. POCUS demonstrates strong fetal heartbeat of approximately 180 bpm, and the doctor suggests subchorionic hematoma via POCUS and she was told to go home, all is good. She says that what she saw on the screen vs in your video isn't a perfect match, but tough to confirm as there are no saved images. ER doc's conclusion of no threat to the pregnancy lined up because tachycardia isn't a typical precursor for miscarriage, bleeding in first trimester can happen. Patient had a proper ultrasound booked for Friday. Unfortunately, patient returns the following day to ER after more blood loss, confirmed miscarriage (~24 hrs between POCUS studies). Obviously without seeing any images, does subchorionic hematoma line-up with a diagnosis or does one of the other options seem to make more sense? Or would spontaneous miscarriage serve as a better explanation? Thank you again.

My mother had a miscarriage when I was 9, however since I was young she lied and said that she had a phantom pregnancy and the reason she was bleeding because she got her period but it wasn't, I'm 10 now. She's pregnant again and is 13 weeks now.

Good afternoon. I have had 3 ultrasounds, 1 at 6w4d, 7w4d and 8 weeks 2 days. All showed a strong heartbeat with good growth. My gestational sac is irregular shaped. Can that change even after 8 weeks? I have a follow up ultrasound this week.

Thank you for the explanation. For the irregular gestational sac, is it possible for it to be regular again, or can the mother still have normal pregnancy?

Sir. I have been suffering from subchorionic hemorrhage heavy bleeding for 6 days now and threatened abortion. My gestational sac is just only 0.67cm for 5 weeks and 2 days meaning irregular gestational sac, no fetal pole yet and heartbeat. Do you think i still have hope and is it possible for that my gestational sac will be in regular shape in the next ultrasound? I am worried.

Good evening sir! I went to scan because I was having a light bleeding. According to the scan they said, G.S-27.3mm, G A-7weeks 3day with a normal gestational sac, normal gravida and intact uterus, but no yolk sac, no fetal pole yet. With a closed cervix. Sir I am 7weeks now! What is the scan saying? Any hope for me? What type of miscarriage is that?
