Most people just hate to see others do well. Bashing Scott Eastwood just for even attempting to do movies. By the sounds of it, he is proud of his father and just wants to continue on his legacy.
I don't see how its any different than continuing on a family business. You all just have to take the enjoyment out of it, or turn it into some competition, when it isn't.
