Installing a Fuel Pump Controller in a VW Bus

Just got this thing thank you so much for making this!
Since you asked. I would move the pump & regulator out of the engine compartment under the bus. The pump is intended to be below the tank 1 foot away. Fire hazard. How do I know: I put the bus out. Pregnant wife did not put the double cab out. You win some you loose some. As for wire connectors. They make these amazing connectors for wire to wire that you heat with a heating gun & it molds the wires together, very cool. I had put temporary interior wire connectors in the double cab. It back fired and up in smoke. Just put the original rebuilt motor in. I'm still whine about it...Nice tube fire extinguisher it's a must. Wish I had one then. They were not invented yet. We are changing our bus to electric FP and were thinking about powering it at the starter? May just come off the fuse box as we're adding a switch too. Glad you got her working enjoy the road! I always say "You can go 120MPH in your Porsche or 70MPH in your Bus. You get the same thrill."

I.ve had one of these well over 4 yrs now. never a problem. maybe just one, the engine is running before I can let off the key. But ten I also use a imi starter.
The only reason when cold that push the pedal down, is to set the choke. I try to do that before hitting the key

So glad I found this video. I have been putting this fix off for quite some time. I did notice your fuel exhaust lines. Would you mind telling me how you have it connected where it curves at the middle of the engine. Mine is missing the pieces there; I saw you had a T that connects to the fuel exhaust coming from the right and the other line goes towards the firewall. Any info on parts/pieces and the tubing you used would be greatly appreciated

What size fuse did you use on the purple wire to the battery?

Im already running a electric fuel pump...with a relay...and a 30amp fues can i just tap in to wires i already have
