In addition to this being a beautiful moment of storytelling, and JuJubee's delight in experiencing it firsthand, we also get to see a great example of how to accept a compliment. Brennan doesn't shy away from it or try to play it down, he thanks her wholeheartedly for sharing with him that she thinks he's doing great, and shares with her how pleased he is that she's enjoying it, and gosh I think this is all lovely.
