CSS Tutorial for Beginners - 26 - The DIV element

In this video we take a look at the DIV element.

This one really confused me. I've understood every other one of your videos but this one really really confused me and I really wish you would type things instead of copy and pasting because that threw me off big time in this video. Please explain the DIV element better I'm so confused.

This is the only video so far that I’ve found confusing. I still don’t quite understand the use of a <div>. Is it necessary?

This one confused me as it did couple other perople. Lesson 25 had: <img class="imagec" src="barracuda2.jpg"> <div> section was aready typed out in the video, so it through me completely.

Why does the <img> have to be nested within <a> and </a>?

Div means division so for creating a website u should use many divs for example think about a website what it should have a navigation bar, a body, a sidebar, a header and a footer simply section that codes using div because everything is different sections

Hello I have been learning a lot, a very good series of tutorials, thank you. One question, you say when adding "text-align: center;" below "display: block;" in the "image.image" class on the css page, you say you will explain a later video. I cannot find any reference later on. Hopefully E J Media reads if not anybody else know why?

There is a problem in inheritance here- where does div stand in the parenting chain of command? Is it below body, but above headers and paragraphs? This is confusing!
