Never question the faith of someone who accepts Islam.

In the 7th year after the migration of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Mecca to Medina, a number of small military expeditions took place including the squad of Ghalib bin Abdullah to Al-Mifa’ah with one hundred and thirty men to the clan of Huraqah. During the battle Usamah bin Zayd and one of the Medinan companions got the better of one of the polytheists and when he saw that he was about to be killed, he uttered the declaration of faith to enter Islam. The Medinan companion immediately left the man, but Usamah thought that he said it to get out of the situation and killed him with his spear. When the Muslims returned to Medina, the Prophet ﷺ was informed of what happened and called Usamah and said, “Oh Usamah, did you kill him after he had testified, ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah?’ Usamah replied, “Oh Messenger of Allah, he did it to save himself.” The Prophet ﷺ said “Would you not have opened his heart to know if he said it sincerely or not? Did you kill him after he had testified, ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah?’” The Prophet ﷺ continued repeating this to Usamah until he wished that he had not been a Muslim before that day.

Allah ﷻ revealed the verse:

“Oh you who believed, when you go forth in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you a greeting of peace ‘You are not a believer, ’ desiring the goods of the worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You were like that before; then Allah conferred His favour upon you, so investigate. Indeed, Allah is well aware of what you do.” (4:94)

The Prophet ﷺ then ordered Usamah to free a slave as expiation for the manslaughter.

Al-Bukhari (4269) and Muslim (96).

Loved hearing Tam's take and wisdom, as a revert I'm absolutely with him with regards to being realistic with expectations. Good discussion, appreciate the devil's advocate (or should I say muslim with bad manners/character) line of questioning that Tam handled well. It's quite rich to expect so much from reverts when the bulk of born muslims are busy being lost in the secular materialist woods. Jazak'Allahu khayran, baarak Allaahu feek #freetate

Andrew Tate is a test from the Almighty for the ummah.
Tate coming into the fold of Islam is like a stick which was distorted over a long period of time for having been in an unhealthy environment. The challenge for the ummah is to be able to help provide a healthy environment with guidance and support to straighten the stick without snapping it and leaving it to become broken. Otherwise we all will have failed...🤔

Too often when people come into the fold of the deen, we're quick to congratulate and give them a hug but neglect the journey of continuous support and nurturing upon the straight path. This is the real brotherhood challenge for all on a daily basis.

Dilly is raising concerns on behalf of the Muslims however Andrew has literally been Muslim for a 'minute' so to speak. Be patient the brother is learning.unfortunately a lot of Muslims are impatient and expecting change over night. Verily Allah is with the patient ones.

I think Mohammad Hijab did a good job as an all around introduction of islam for all the viewers. While I agree it wasn’t specific questions for tate, but it was beneficial inshallah

I think the reason why Andrew message resonates to Muslims, specially young Muslims is because, whichever power that is currently ruling the world will naturally set the tone on everyone else. So now because the West is the dominant power, many muslims do admire and look upto the west and feel like the customs of the west is superior and cooler, and in many ways do feel inferior to the West and want to imitate their cultures and norms. Then someone like Andrew comes along and he's preaching what they already believed but were shy to say in case they were not seen as cool. Suddenly they feel empowered to embrace their culture and they can feel proud to be muslims again

Theres alot we can learn from this in particular from brother Tam Khan. We are so quick to assume the worst in people when our deen teaches the opposite. We should also think to ourselves how hard is it for us to rid ourselves from a bad habit. Generally it takes a lot of time and struggle but when it comes to others, we expect such a sudden change. This is a sickness within us. Seeing bad in others and not working on our own soul. May Allah guide us all and make brother Andrew a solid believer and protect him from evil ameen Allahuma ameen.

I feel like most are expecting too much for him, I still feel like people are trying to burden him with his past. Be realistic and have patience with the brother. Give him news of the good and inshaAlloh with guidance he'll eventually leave the bad behind.

Tam Kham is a true friend, a genuine good man. Glad to see his friends and women too speaking out for him. The ones of us who know, know that the Tate brothers are sincere and good people. The internet can twist so much around. Pushing him away from Allah would never be a good idea. I've seen changes in him since he has became a muslim. Tam is a G.

Tam was spot on when hes saying give andrew time, nobodys perfect. Im not sure why ur even asking him these questions about tate. Hes been muslim for a month and now hes supposed to know fiqhi rulings on what to say and what to avoid. When muhammad ali used to say 'i am the greatest' we overlooked it and had an excuse for him.
