Hi, I've watched a number of videos from your channel and they are really awesome, helpful and educational. Thank you. Can you recommend one place like this in NJ (preferably Monmouth county or ocean county)? There are lots of good beaches here...but...

Nice work. I need to get out there for blackfish season. Thinking of a chowder recipe or topped with mango chutney.

Hey Roger, I fish with a light spinning outfit but tore my rotator cuff, don’t want to lose the season so I am going to try a baitcaster and casting rod like your setup. I have no experience with baitcasters what do you recommend.
Thanks

Could you explain why you prefer to use the 20lb floro besides saying light tackle is fun like wouldn’t you feel safer not losing a nice one using a heavier leader and how come you go with floro instead of mono also nice fish at the end that was a male right? How can you tell the difference I’ve heard a few opinions?? Thanks

What works for me is I put on a pair of gloves, have a 5 gallon bucket and when I flip the rock, I use both hands to scoop up the crabs and then throw them in the bucket. This is works for me, may not work for you. Thanks for the great video!
