Kirk Hammett's Last Riff

Kirk Hammett hasn't brought riffs to Metallica for over a decade now (be it for the lost iPhone or whatever). Death Magnetic features quite a few cool licks by him, including one on the closing track My Apocalypse. Possibly, the best Hammett's riff since Enter Sandman, or even Master of Puppets (if to count that Lars helped improve the Sandman lick). Will he really write some for the new Metallica album? Hope so!
