Introduction to Victron's Smart Solar MPPT

This is a brief intro to Victron's latest SmartSolar Charge Controller MPPT. The new smart version has integrated Bluetooth connectivity and the option of a pluggable LCD display. Live MPPT information can be easily viewed via the owners smartphone or tablet using the Victron Connect app. All solar array monitoring can be completed on one screen including solar yield, battery voltage, MPPT charging state and load output.

Do not by Victron SmartSolar chargers. After 4 months of use, the app that connects to the control box via bluetooth has connectivity problems and just recently with the latest app update, will not connect to Victron's server to download the firmware. The control box is now useless as it will not charge my batteries. It was purchased through an authorized Victron dealer and they will not fullfill the warranty for a refund as they insist that my smartphone is the problem. I have emailed Victron explaining the problems with no response. Furthermore, alot of other users are experiencing the same problems regarding connectivity to their smartphones/i-pads. You have been warned.

I've had the 150/85 model for a few days now. I have problems with the absorption mode with a full battery bank and an full sunny day. I have 6 260w solar panels total max 1600w at 125v

The battery voltage gets too high, not 28.8v but 29.2 to 29.6v resulting in overcharging of the battery bank.

I have shortened the absorption time from 6.5 hours to 1½ hours via the bluetooth app.

Is this a known issue.

How can I solve it.

On the MPPT Controller, I have noticed there are no terminals for load. Why is that? Where is the Load connected? Thank you

It cost near 21000 rs
But same capacity availabe in 10000 rs
