This kit is excellent and i use it on my boat. If you don't need the extra functionality of the Lynx Distributor then you can buy the correct size bolts/washers etc for the Lynx Power-in which allows it to also be used with fuses etc... much cheaper than the Distributor.

I really love victron products. Pray to have some to use in the future...

Since we will be charging the 48V /51.2) V battery with solar panels (4 x 480W - Vmp = 37.10, lmp = 12.95A), we would like to have exact information on which Victron MPPT controller is suitable so that the battery will be charged properly (Operatin value charge 43 -58V). Does the Victron 150/45 match the charging voltage? Can the such battery be charged from 200V with a charger, and if so, with what kind?

I won't consider anything else than Victron Energy in my next home for a Solar Power System, as I can see everything is purpose built & very well designed for Home, Boat, Van, Car etc well Done Victron Energy for a quality products, (Retired Aerospace - Defence Electronics Hardware Qualification Verification Test Engineer) I know Quality when I see it 👍👏

Very nice piece of kit, makes job way faster especially with many batteries 🪫 or many chargers on the system . Lynx power in can be easly transformed to mega fuse holder . It takes 4 bolts n nuts to make it hold 4 mega fuses . Very neat job

Does the lynx power in only work with lead acid batteries ?. Or also lithium

I really like the Lynx series of devices and I use them in my PowerWall setup. The only feature Victron need to fix, is that the Lynx Shunt currently does not display any DC power in the Consumption summary near the graph (VRM). So, AC power is perfectly shown and added to the Consumption tile, but the Lynx Shunt totally ignores any DC power.
However, that works perfectly fine with the Smart Shunt and the BVM. Both show AC and DC power combined in the Consumption tile. So, I assume this is just a software update away, hopefully coming soon!?

(I have read the discussion on the community forum about this feature and many are waiting to actually start using this 'expensive fuse holder', as some refer to it.)

I got the Lynx Distributor because I needed a rock solid fused busbar. I do love it for that! Am slightly disappointed it's dumb w/o the BMS (which is expensive).

2:12 The Lynx distributor data doesn't seem to be sent to the Lynx shunt as stated in the video. The individual fuse status doesn't show up in the Victron Connect app. From what I've read, this is only available when using a Lynx BMS. Is this true? Are there any plans to make the data available for the Shunt?

I have two Lynx Distributor installed and between them the Lynx Shunt, but I can not see the status of the fuses in VRM. Is it necessary to have the Victron BMS as well?
I ask because Johannes said BMS or Shunt.

In Australia and New Zealand we have to fuse the positive AND the negative legs. From what I can see on the Distributor, it only has a fuse on the positive leg correct? Do you have some solution or idea how to easily get the negative leg fused as well? Thanks

Can we ever expect a LYNX distributor that uses class T fuses? We sure could use it here in the states for LiFePO4 batteries. There are mods that have been done so it can be done—at least to the power-in without fuse monitoring.

A couple of other “wants”: a module which includes a mechanical disconnect switch; a low power connection (12-16 #10, 1/4” posts with ATO and maxi fuses); a 1000a LYNX BMS; 90 degree modules (left and right)

I love the concept—please expand it!

It is a really nice system. I considered it as one of the options. Also the tigerexped ufo was an option. But I choose a DIY solution with a 35 euro Victron 250A 6x mega fuse box. And I put my phoenix 2000va compact on a separate busbar.

I think the lynx system is great but also it becomes pretty expensive if you need more then 4 mega fuses. Also for alot of things a 1000A busbar is not needed. So I think there is a place for a cheaper module with a smaller rated busbar and mega fuses. So for most DC-DC, Solar etc you need 40 to 80A fuses.

Or maybe develop a budget lynx line for small to medium systems.

Victron is my main choice and I love building with Victron components. Yesterday I updated the firmware on my phoenix 2000va compact (1908 small cpu) and I programmed the relay function for extra cooling. And I also got the remote switch panel working 💪😁

I'm planning on applying liquid metal from CPU side of things. To ensure surface contacts over my lynx distribution system & for all fuses et cetra.

should you ground the busbar as well in a ESS ON grid system ? would a 6 mm grounding cable be enough to be connected to the House Ground system ? (PE)

Hello, this is not like my installation. i have 2 distrubutors and the lynx shunt but can't configure or view the fuses here. 3:06

Can you change the name of the power into just DC Power as I used it as a positive busbar and another as a negative busbar.

Unrelated but are there plans to be able to assign different battery types in the multi channel IP chargers? Ie IP22 and Phenix IP 43 chargers, bank 1 lead acid, bank 2 agm, bank 3 lithium?
