Firewall side coupler, 2000 Volvo S70

Ended up fixing this by replacing the coupler with this affordable part (see comments below), which contains all the proper o-rings and spacers on all four holes already installed.

Note that you do NOT need to remove the air handler inside the car, even though this plate seems to be tucked behind it, but you WILL need to remove the gas pedal (10mm deep socket will do it on three bolts). The coupler is easily removable from the inside of the car if you pull it out and down to the left while pushing back on the foam liner that is on the inside/firewall.

Hi This is a good starter video, but it stops short of explaining the details of how you fix the leak that you have shown. Do you have a follow up video that I haven't found yet, that covers the fix?
Thanks

How do you release these hoses from the coupling?I'm new to Volvos (have done a lot of work on other cars) and have never seen anything quite like this.

Ceci, I ended up buying this part from FCP Euro, and replacing the coupling through the firewall. This part comes with all the right o-rings and spacers in the right order already in place in each hole. I'll put the link to the part above, in my video description, or just Google for Volvo Heater Hose Coupling (850 C70 S70 V70) Genuine Volvo 3522035. Hope that helps!
